Bach

The three sonatas for viola da gamba and harpsichord obligato (BWV 1027-1029), interspersed with transcriptions for viol or harpsichord solo from originals for lute (BWV 995) and lautenwerck (BWV 998)
 

Tastes Reunited - Corelli and Contemporaries

A stimulating programme, reflecting musical multiculturalism in Europe in the 17 th and 18th centuries:- Corelli, Marais, Couperin, Barrière; the Italian and French styles united in German harpsichord music by Muffat and Froberger, who was musically "multilingual" and master of an amalgam of styles a century before Bach.

 

Englishmen at home and abroad / German emigrés in London

16th and 17th-century music by English composers (Dowland/arr. Byrd, Philips, Bull, Simpson, Hume, Young); 18th-century sonatas by Germans settled in London: Handel, J C Bach and Abel.
